LOST IN TRANSLATION
Growing up reading translated comics in Dutch, I’ve always found it fascinating when design gets lost in translation — and how the bespoke (and in this case hand-drawn) type design gets chucked out of the window and is replaced and/or obscured by standard fonts, skewed and pulled to resemble, if not the design, the language and intent of the original.
